MJ dance

Description: Below are several clips from a dance music video with heavy influence from the world of Michael jackson (before he became crazy). It's my personal favorite over any of my work. All filming, editing and directing was done by Mike Shannon. This movie was filmed from September to early December of 2004 over the coarse of 5, 2-hour sessions. All actors were taken directly from the track team and have no previous experience in front of the camera. All scenes were filmed "on-the-spot" and with just one camera. Special thanks to jenni Johnson, Jesse Armijo, Anne-marie Byrn and Chris Oneal for their time!

Star wars effects

Description: Light saber action! This 8 minute film is part of a larger 40 minute movie that is based around the Cal State San Marcos track & field season during the spring of 2005. A dark, cloaked figure with a red light saber chases three unfortunate students through the halls of the college until it meets a few other capable fighters along the way. All editing and directing was done by yours truly.

More info: The 8 minute video shown here was filmed and edited from late April to early June of 2005 (about 6 weeks) and took about 7-8 2 hour sessions. All actors were taken directly from the track team and have no previous experience in front of the camera. All scenes were filmed "on-the-spot" and with just one camera. Special thanks to Jesse Armijo and Dan Lyon for all their wonderful choreography!

	This is the big kahuna, I really went all out. Filmed from December of 2004 until march of 2005, this took many hours of pre-production and many more of filming. I created film this alone and with no camera man.

	This was my first big clone sequence, filmed during the summer of 2004. It took us about 4 hours of shooting to do this - all on the spot acting and directing.

	We don't know who this guy in the video is... except that when I filmed it, he was high as a mother fcker on some hard core sht, so he danced around a lot. Really really funny! This was filmed during the fall of 2004 at Balboa Park in San Diego.

	Description:
	As part of a larger movie, this music video takes place inside of the gym at Cal State San Marcos with an 80's theme to it. Filmed during the spring of 2005, this clip didn't come out quite as I would have liked, mostly because the actors never showed up on filming day (that happens when they are not payed) and the dance team takes up HALF of your gym on the day of the shoot - but hey, it's still some good editing, so enjoy!
